Creating a Video Welcome Message

There are many different ways that you can record a video welcome message. We recommend, whichever recording tool you use, that you display your videos in your course through Mediasite.

Mediasite

Mediasite is the video recording and storage tool supported by K-State IT Services. There are many tutorial videos available to help you use this tool. Mediasite also has amazing analytics to help you track your student's use of the materials and it has the ability to add quizzes into your video to help with engagement.

Zoom

Many faculty use Zoom to record lectures. You can share your screen in a Zoom session by yourself and record your lecture content.

Welcome Video Script and Chronology

In order to provide you with a starting point, we are offering this Welcome Video Script and Chronology worksheet to provide you with a list of questions to get you started, and a chronology to map out the main points and timing to aid in efficiency.
