Includes more than 400 core English-language scientific and technical publications pertaining to physical science and engineering. Provides citations and abstracts.

 

Health and Wellness Resource Center

Publication Dates Covered: 1980 - present Paid for by K-State Libraries
Medicine, health, and alternative medicine topics are covered. Provides access to medical journal and magazine articles, a medical encyclopedia, and dictionary. Directories of medical organizations and drugs are provided along with a health assessment tool.

 

Health Reference Center Academic

Kirk-Othmer Encyclopedia of Chemical Technology

This electronic version of the 4th edition of the Kirk-Othmer Encyclopedia of Chemical Technology includes more than 1200 full text articles. Tables, figures, CAS Registry Numbers, and chemical structures appear with the articles. Articles cover chemical substances, industrial processes, uses, fundamentals, chemical engineering processes, foods, pharmaceuticals, dyes, and fibers.

This is a good starting point for finding journal articles on almost any topic. Over 150 academic subject areas are covered, and most articles are full-text. Searches can be limited to scholarly, peer-reviewed journals.

Books that are listed at K-State Salina Library are readily available for check out during normal library hours.

Books listed at Hale Library are located in Manhattan and will need to be ordered through interlibrary loan. This process takes between 1-3 days from order to shipment and is free to any student or faculty member.
