As you begin to think about your speech topic, you will likely find yourself modifying it as you gather information.
We recommend that you not wait until the last minute. Give yourself time to search on your own, ask a librarian for guidance, and go back to your instructor if you need help refining your topic.
If you are searching and can't find the data you need, it is possible that data doesn't exist. Be prepared to be flexible and be ready to tweak your topic to address data that does exist. Remember that there are librarians available to assist you in your search.
